At the end of February 2024, the LB-11MTS medical cyclotron, independently developed by Sichuan Longevous Beamtech Co.,Ltd., successfully completed the overseas hoisting and installation process and was delivered to The Nairobi West Hospital. It became the first "Made in China" medical cyclotron to be hoisted and installed overseas.

     The Nairobi West Hospital, founded in the 1980s, is a regional medical center in western Nairobi, serving over a million patients annually. In October 2023, The Nairobi West Hospital signed a procurement contract with LBT, in which LBT would provide the LB-11MTS medical cyclotron and its supporting equipment. The project officially began in October 2023, and within just three months, LBT completed production, packaging, and customs clearance, and the equipment was shipped to Kenya in December, 2023.

From 2023 to 2024, crossing time and distance, the LB-11MTS arrived in Nairobi in January 2024. After the equipment arrived, LBT quickly organized a core team to the site, overcoming numerous difficulties. Finally, in February, 2024, they successfully completed the hoisting and installation of the cyclotron!

As the first Chinese-made medical cyclotron exported overseas, the installation process faced engineering challenges such as environmental modifications and narrow access channels. However, the LBT team remained positive, overcame the obstacles, and, with high professionalism and efficiency, successfully completed the hoisting and installation of the LB-11MTS.

In less than six months, the entire project completed production, packaging, transportation, customs clearance, transshipment, and installation, an efficient and high-quality operation that won high praise from the user. The project manager from the user’s side, Mr. Bhachu, said: "LBT’s speed is astonishing, and as the project manager, I am happy to work with such a professional team."
